Succulent Cafe in Oceanside

Highly recommend, a must-see spot if you are passing through Oceanside or need a reason to visit in the first place.

The cafe is small.

The plants are rather small.

But the design, displays, imaginative use of succulents is GRAND.

Almost impossible to take it all in.

Be sure to grab a coffee or cold drink and sit and just look around.

….and then walk through again till your heart's content.

The Flying Pig In Oceanside

Heard about it. Read about it. Had to try it.

On a street lined with garages, The Flying Pig specializes in pork products (Duh!) and farm-to-table dishes.

All I can say is that it is FUN. Even on a Tuesday night in September before the sun has set.

The place fills up quickly.

The beet salad and short ribs are winners.

Small baby squirming in high chair on one side of us. Long-haired, bearded, nipple-pierced, tattoo-knuckled gentleman on the other.

Really fun crowd and friendly service to boot!

Flying Pig hangs over the bar.
