Getting Ready for Halloween

Temperature has finally cooled, a bit, in San Diego.

Fall is in the air.

Which means -- skeletons, scarecrows, pumpkins and bats have been unpacked...

Trick or Treaters Welcome!

Halloween Decorations In The 'Hood

Took a walk around the block to check out the seasonal decor, seems more spooky and less pumpkin-y this year.

Ran into a neighbor out walking her dog and asked what her twin girls are going to be for Halloween.

Neighbor:  One is going as a Minion and the other wants to be a hot chocolate server.

I found this to be hilarious.

Me:  Have you been spending a lot of time at Starbucks?

Neighbor, laughing:  I guess we have.

When you are young, the gal presenting you with a chocolatey beverage topped with whipped cream is every bit as impressive and revered as Princess Elsa from Frozen.

Or a Minion for that matter!

Early Halloween

The pumpkins and skeletons were out in full force on Labor Day weekend...which I guess is slightly more bearable than seeing a tinsel-decorated tree while temperatures hover around 90 degrees.

Difficult to enjoy Fall stuff without Fall weather.

That being said, I LOVE HALLOWEEN.

And Roger's Gardens knows how to set the scene!
