Peggy Sue’s

Halfway between San Diego and Las Vegas you can take a side trip to the 50’s.

By exiting at Ghost Town Road.

Inside are I Love Lucy salt and pepper shakers, Wizard of Oz cookie jars, a selection of Marilyn Monroe postcards and packets of rattlesnake eggs for the younger set.

Badly-wigged mannequins service the soda counter.

Tourists take pictures alongside the life size cutout of Elvis. Or walk by the elderly greeter to grab a bite.

Special of the day:  Fried dill pickles with a side of ranch.

Fake strawberry sodas adorn each table.

Just outside, initials and messages are etched onto the cactus ‘guest book’.

Peggy Sue’s – a great place to stop and stretch your legs.
