Rosemary’s

There are many great restaurants to pick from in Las Vegas.

It is no longer just a home for the all-you-can-eat buffet.

For my husband’s birthday dinner, we dined at B&B in The Venetian Hotel.

The choice was a no-brainer. Mario Batali is one of the ‘B’s’. Assumed it would be fantastic and it was.

For birthday lunch, we had a reservation at a ‘great find’ recommended by a stranger.

Our plan was to spend time at the gym between meals.

But first we had to find the place.

It is definitely off the beaten track.

Down Sahara Avenue.

Far from the bright lights and skyscrapers.

Past a McDonald’s that pays homage to the Vegas motto that bigger is better.

At a strip mall.

The sign lists Rosemary’s along with the Dollar Tree.

The entrance is non-descript. Zagat signs lend credibility.

Inside it is comfortable but not fancy.

The service was impeccable.

Dishes were creative.

Beautifully presented and delicious.

It is so worth the drive!

Moroccan Spiced Shrimp with Jasmine Rice, Watercress,
Pickled Cucumber & a Lime Coconut Green Curry Sauce

La Quercia Prosciutto, Mushroom & Soft Scrambled
Egg Crepe with White Cheddar Gratinee

Meyer Lemon, English Pea & Butternut Squash Risotto with
Creamed Leeks & Parmesan Jus (poured from a silver jug)

Mustard Crusted Pork Chops with Brown Sugar Roasted
Sweet Potatoes & Creole Mustard Reduction Sauce

Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting,
Mixed Berries and Raspberry Sauce

We were ooh-ing and ahh-ing about this meal long after we left.

And no…

we never made it to the gym.
