Many schools in San Diego have this week off.

But the weather has been uncooperative.

Drizzle, wind and gray skies.

On the other hand, it is possible to find a parking spot at the beach.

There is plenty of room to spread out.

Very little need for greasy sunblock.

And plenty of waves.
